Pod limits do not apply to serverless indexes. Pinecone auto-scales serverless indexes based on usage, and you pay only for what you use.
If you are a project owner, follow these steps to set or change the maximum total number of pods allowed across all pod-based indexes in your project:
  1. Open the Pinecone console.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. On the Projects tab, click the Configure Project icon next to the project you want to update.
  4. Enter a Pod Limit. The default pod limit is 5.
  5. Click Save Changes.
