Downgrade your account

To downgrade your Pinecone organization back to our Starter (free) tier, you can do so in the console. You’ll first need to delete any active, non-free indexes and any collections.

1. Click Settings in the Pinecone console.
2. Navigate to the Projects tab.
3. Click the name of each of your projects, in turn.
4. On each project’s Indexes page, click the trashcan icon for each non-free index. You’ll be prompted to enter the name of the index as a safeguard.
5. On each project’s Collections page, click the trashcan icon for each collection. You’ll be prompted to enter the name of the collection as a safeguard.
6. Navigate to Settings > Billing and change your plan to Starter. Your billing will end as of that moment; however, you may receive a final bill for the indexes and/or collections that you just deleted for the time they were in use.
